Jungle story

“Jungle,” the new adventure/survival film from Australian helmer Greg McClean (“Wolf Creek”), is based on the true-life story of adventurer and executive producer Yossi Ghinsberg, who became lost in the Amazonian jungle for three weeks in 1981.
Upton Sinclair's 1906 novel, The Jungle, examines the desperate lives of meatpacking workers in Packingtown, Illinois, an area of southwest Chicago marked by its abundance of stockyards, slaughterhouses, factories, and cramped tenements, in the early 20th century.
“The problem is that The Jungle Book is fiction, and all of Kipling's characters are a mixture of imaginary types and real animals, so it's impossible to know the species for sure,” says Kaori Nagai, a Kipling scholar at the University of Kent.
Starting a story set in a forest or jungle can be captivating by immersing readers in the setting right away. Begin with vivid descriptions of the sights, sounds, and smells: the dense canopy above, the chorus of wildlife, and the earthy scent of the foliage.
The most important life lesson taught by the story “Jungle Book” is not to be a coward. Instead, we need to confidently face our fears and triumph over them. This is shown beautifully in the story of how bravely and confidently Mowgli faces the Tiger - Sher Khan.
